Lots going on here at New Heights and we are racing to the finish line! Only a few weeks left before the Kindergarten program. If your child has a speaking part and needs a costume please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to bring in their costume as soon as it's ready and I'll store it here at school until the show. We have now learned all 5 songs from the show and the kids are soon going to start group rehearsal with the other two classes in their group, how exciting!

Our 2nd grade is going to Good Sam next week to sing at the nursing home for May Day. The kids are really looking forward to doing a few songs that we've working on throughout the year. They are also making May Day baskets that will be given out as a special treat. What a fun way to celebrate the beginning of May!

We also have the 5th grade Honor Chorus coming over to sing for us on May 8th. What a great opportunity to see something completely different. These are students who have been working in a choral setting all year getting unison and 2-part music ready to share with us. They work in a very different way than we do at New Heights while in a general music classroom setting. I'm looking forward to it and I think the kids are too.

Our Kindergarten program is about 1 month away now. If your child has a speaking line please make sure they are practicing every day. Costumes are slowing rolling in as well. Please let me know if there are things I can help you find. Remember the handout was only an idea for a costume, feel free to use whatever you think might work. All other students will be wearing black and white. Thank you so much for your help with the program, I know the kids can't wait to show off their skills!

Here comes the Kindergarten Program, ready or not! The kids have been doing a great job learning the songs for the show. If you would like to practice the songs or your students speaking lines if they have any, use one of the links on the right side of the page. I can't wait for the kids to show you what they've been working on!
