Welcome to April! and spring? Our Music Booster Potato Feed was another big success with lots of kids singing, playing and performing! We performed a whole group song called Rhythms of One World with students K-12 which was amazing. I think it may become a tradition.

Please join us for a Music Booster meeting on Tuesday, April 15th at 6pm in the Senior High choir room. We will discuss the Potato Feed and elect some new officers to serve on the board. If you are interested but unable to make it, please let me know.

Coming up in about a month is our Kindergarten Program. Tuesday, May 13th the students will perform Prime Time Nursery Rhymes. They have just gotten their speaking lines and are working hard. It will be a great show.

February always goes fast and this year was not exception. It is already time for the 1st grade program this Thursday! The kids have worked hard and some have done double duty because I hadn't seen them for 2 weeks with all our snow days. Come and enjoy this Thursday at 1:15, 2:00, 5:00 and 6:00.

We also have our annual Music Booster Potato Feed right around the corner. Kids will be getting music ready in the next two weeks and have already started to bring in donations/$1 to help make and finish theme baskets that will be raffled off. The event runs from 11am-2pm and we have student performers from band and choir, K-12. This year we will also have one group song for choir students K-12 which has never been done before. It will be awesome! We are still looking for volunteers to help the day run smoothly. Please contact me if you are able to help for an hour or two. I hope to see you there, let me know if you have any questions.

This Aesop fable, "The Lion and the Mouse", comes to life with great music that will bring some heat to our February show. Letters will soon be going home with much more information. Please notice the new links on the right side of the page to practice all of the songs.

Some people resolve for New Years to loose weight or end a bad habit, I wanted to be better about posting in my blog for this new school year. It is almost the end of October and this is my first official blog post, clearly my resolution in going very well...

We have had a very exciting start to the year. Our students met two new friends to start off September, Mrs. Blackmer who is student teaching and nearing the end of her elementary placement, and Freddie the Frog. Freddie and a fantastic friend who has guided us through some adventures he has with his best friend Eli the Elephant on Treble Clef Island. They have also visited Tempo Island and learned about the Mysterious Wahoo! Please check out the Freddie link on the right side of my blog for more fantastic information.

The 2nd graders are well on their way to learning their December program. This year it is called, Christmas on Candy Cane Lane and tells the story of red and green candy canes who are arguing about which color is the best. After many opinions, Mrs. Claus helps them realize that there is room for both colors and the world is really better that way.

Stay tuned for much more.
